What to Expect From Us
If you have done RP in secondlife, than you have run into admins. Those brave and sometimes interesting people who open and run RP SIMs and have gone to great efforts to keep the peace on various SIM syou have played on in the past. It can be a little scary encountering one sometimes on an RP SIM, and even more scary if you don't understand the rules and guidelines they follow. That is why here on Elk Point we like to make such things very clear to everyone who plays, just so we are all on the same page and maybe, hopefully, understanding the standards we hold ourselves and our staff to will help make such encounters a little bit less frightening.
1. Say What We Mean and Mean What We Say. This just means that if there is a rule that we have made then we will enforce that rule, but we will not make up rules on the spot or hold our players to any standards that they are not expressly aware of. If at any point we have to add or change a rule then we will let everyone know ahead of time, and make sure that everyone is informed before the rule is enforced.

2. Act Professionally and Treat Players and Other Staff with Respect. We will not use profanity when dealing with our players, we will not belittle them, harass them, make them feel as if they are bad people. We will treat them courteously and we will not ban/boot or eject anyone without warning.

3. Do Not Interfere With the RP. If our players are following the rules and creating stories then that is exactly what we want, the staff on SIM is just here to make sure that everything out of character along with basic running of the SIM goes smoothly, so we will not interfere or interject our own opinion on your RP. We will however be made available as story tellers if you would like us to help further story lines or act as the environment for an RP Plot line.

4. If Admins or Staff Are involved In Character They will Not Be Admins or Staff. This means that no admin or staff member will be able to act in any role greater than a player when they are involved as a player in a specific scene or plot line. If we find that an admin or staff member is abusing his or her power/influence in order to effect scenes or story lines they may be asked to step down. (Even the SIM owners will hold themselves to this rule though we can't really step down we will ensure that Saria gets three spanking anytime this happens. And they will be HARD spankings.)

5. We Are Players First, Admins Second. Just because someone is and admin or staff member does not mean you cannot go after them in character. We love to play, we love to tell stories and most importantly we love a good challenge, so please feel free to challenge us! Chase us! Shoot at us! And all the other things! It's not like we can stop you. (And if any of us tries try poor Saria will be spanked.)

6. Try to Treat Everyone as Fairly as can be managed. This means we will do our utmost to ensure all players are treated fairly and every player is given the same opportunities as anyone else on SIM. That also means we won't be giving anyone special treatment soo if everyone can't have something a player wants well then the player is very likely not going to get it. By the Same token we will also hold ourselves to the same standard. If we want something everyone can't have, then we are probably not going to get it either. :( (Sol wants a pony but everyone said no.)
