Often the first question we get when new people come to the SIM is "What is Elk point all about?"  the answer is, well...there is no simple answer.  When we set about making our SIM we knew one thing for sure and that was that we wanted a place where everyone had the ability to tell an amazing story without worrying that someone was going to hang over their shoulder or make up rules that had never existed before.   We wanted a place where advanced storytellers and new players could both feel at home and both play at their own pace, somewhere welcoming and friendly and about all else creative.  

Because this was our vision, we decided that story was going to be in the hands of our players.  While we would run large SIM wide plots and events, day to day stories and events and the overall feeling fo the SIM is something we want you to have the chance to create, change, grow and explore.  The only thing we ask is that the setting remain what it is, a realistic looking modern day community set in Maryland near Baltimore.   

So welcome to Elk Point, a SIM where story and creativity rule, where normality hides secrets that are so dark people don't discuss them in open daylight, where students attend school daily and worry about grades only to be confronted by the real world;s criminal factions during part time jobs at night.  Whenever anyone can be anything and hide secrets yet to be discovered, because only one thing can really be certain in a place like this.  Nothing, will ever be what it seems, and the secrets we hold...well, they could be our undoing.
